fogu is a product of fogu UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Germany. We collect and store only information required to operate the service, for example server load data.

1. Principle: no activity logging

fogu does not log data from which visited websites, IP-related activity, timestamps, or communication content can be derived. Non-personal data such as server load may be processed for statistics, operations, and service quality. There are no user accounts.

2. Purchases through the App Store

In-app purchases are processed entirely through your Apple account. We do not receive payment data from Apple, only an anonymous purchase confirmation used to unlock the subscription.

You can also buy Premium directly through our website. The following applies:

3.1 Cryptocurrency payments (BTCPay)

Cryptocurrency payments are processed through a self-hosted BTCPay Server instance, without an external payment provider. We store invoice and transaction data for the payment, including amount, time, payment status, and transaction reference. Providing an email address is optional and is used only to deliver your code. Please note that transactions on public blockchains are publicly visible by design.

3.2 Card or SEPA payments (Stripe)

Card and SEPA payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) as payment provider. Your payment data, such as card number or IBAN, is entered directly with Stripe and does not reach our servers. We receive the payment status and a transaction reference from Stripe. Stripe also processes your buyer country to calculate VAT correctly.

3.3 Redemption codes

After a successful payment, a one-time Premium code is generated. We store the code, its relation to the order, the redemption time, and the association with the redeeming device using an anonymous device token. There is no user account and no name.

3.4 Retention

Order and payment data is retained as long as statutory retention obligations apply, up to 10 years under German commercial and tax law, and is deleted afterwards.

4. Cookies and website measurement

Cookies may be used to support website functionality. Measurements of website and app usage are anonymized and used for operating the service.

5. Customer support

Support communication by email may be stored for a limited period unless deletion is requested earlier.

6. Disclosure of data

Data is not shared with advertising or social networks. Data is disclosed only where legally required or necessary for payment processing as described in section 3.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection under Articles 15-21 GDPR, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our competent authority is:
